Shanon participates in the Easter Seals Telethon, live from Olivet University, to help raise money for people living with autism and other disabilities.

Shanon's alma mater, DePaul University, was proud to present her at the Allstate Arena during the basketball game between the DePaul University Blue Demons and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Shanon is also the Dance Team's Coach & mentor.

Shanon pariticipates in the NEA's "Read Across America" event honoring Dr. Seuss's birthday

Shanon is a special guest at the International Beauty Show in Chicago where she took photos, signed autographs and met many celebrities.

Shanon organized "Think Pink" night at a Chicago Bulls vs. Philadelphia 76'ers game where she raised over $5000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help raise awareness and fight breast cancer.

Shanon takes on Chicago's icy Lake Michigan during the Polar Bear Plunge where she also is shown welcoming the plungers and leading the official plunger's oath.

Shanon accompanies Bulls players, Thabo Sefolosha and Aaron Gray, to visit the students of one of the 40 Illinois Centers for Rehabilitation
and Education-Roosevelt. She plays a quick game along with members of the Chicago Wheelchair Bulls and signs the autograph wall.

Shanon, along with Bulls players, Joakim Noah & Demetris Nichols, takes a tour in the Field Museum’s George Washington Carver exhibit with 30 students from the James Jordan Boys & Girls Club in honor of Black History Month.
