On November 20, 2011, Alexandra Plotz (“Alex”) was crowned Miss Illinois Teen USA 2012 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois.

Alex is 17 years old and lives in Geneva, Illinois. She is the daughter of Kelli and Rick Plotz. Alex is a senior at Rosary High School in Aurora where she has participated in the Spanish Club, the school newspaper and the Go Green Club. Alex has been a member of the cheer squad for Marmion Academy in Aurora for the past four years. During her tenure as one of their cheerleaders, she was honored to have been elected and serve as Co-Captain of both the JV squad and the Varsity squad. Alex will continue her education by attending college in the upcoming fall.

In her spare time when she is not studying, Alex is actively involved with community service. She feels that giving back to her community and others is one the greatest rewards one can receive. Fox Valley Special Recreation Association and Feed My Starving Children are a few of the many organizations where she has donated her time.

Alex was born and raised here in the State of Illinois and is truly grateful to have been chosen to represent her state. She has begun preparations for the 2012 Miss Teen USA pageant by continuing to work out. One of her new favorite forms of exercise is a piloxing class at her local gym. With the support of her family and friends she hopes to bring the crown back to Illinois.
