Words cannot describe the excitement felt by Stacie Juris, an 18 year old senior from Lincoln Way East High School, when she was crowned Miss Illinois Teen USA 2009!

Stacie lives in Tinley Park with her parents Kathy and Matt Juris and two younger sisters Mallorie, 14, and Jodie, 11. She believes by being the older sister it has naturally taught her leadership skills. Stacie feels that she has been very blessed with a loving and supportive family that raised her with high standards, morals and values. 

Her hobbies include volunteer work, modeling, spending time with her friends and of course cheerleading. Stacie has been cheering since the age of 8 and continues to do so in her senior year with her high school varsity team.

After graduation in May 2009, she plans to attend Lincoln College in Illinois to work towards having a career in entertainment television.

Stacie has watched pageants on TV since she was a young child and when she turned 16, she decided that she wanted to compete in one. The 2007 Miss Illinois Teen USA pageant was her first. Although she fell short of making it into the top semi-finalists, the wonderful experience was filled with excitement, memories and meeting lifelong friends. The following year she competed again and was named 1st runner-up.  Even though she didn’t walk away with the title, she did gain a great experience and many new friends who gave her so much encouragement to continue this journey. Never giving up on her dream and thinking, “Third time’s a charm”; Stacie gave it one more shot. On the night of Sunday, December 7, 2008, she heard her name announced as the new Miss Illinois Teen USA 2009!

She is excited about being able to make appearances representing Illinois and meeting new people.  Stacie hopes to have the chance to work with charitable organizations that help children. She is dedicated to acting on opportunities to make a positive difference in the world. Stacie seeks to live everyday to the fullest and take advantage of every opportunity that her crown presents.

Sheer drive and determination to succeed in the Miss Teen USA pageant had Stacie training hard, eating right, staying mentally and physically fit. The 2009 Miss Teen USA pageant took place at the beautiful Atlantis resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas on July 31, 2009.
