Catherine Warren, a 21 year old from Lake Forest, Illinois is 5' 9" with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Catherine is attending the University of Kansas majoring in Applied Behavioral Sciences with a focus on Early Childhood Education. She will further her education by earning a Masters degree at a university in Chicago. She plans to utilize her education to fulfill her goal of owning and operating her own child care facility.
Catherine has a strong commitment to volunteering and community involvement. She has been involved in various organizations including St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, The Boys and Girls Club of America and Adopt-a School Foundation. Catherine realizes the need for mentors. She enjoys spending time with and mentoring children as a classroom aid. She has such a strong dedication to children and the need for mentors that she has created two websites designed to pair children looking for mentors with adults looking to become mentors.
Catherine also believes very strongly in the ONE Campaign, an effort to provide fundamental needs to impoverished children across the world. She would like to help others realize the importance and power that one percent can make. If only one percent of the nation's budget was set aside to aid children, the benefit would considerably outweigh the cost. Catherine would also like educate others on the importance of community involvement throughout her state.
When Catherine is not busy with school or volunteering, she enjoys working out and maintaining a physically fit and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys weight training, cardio, and tennis. Her other hobbies include reading, shopping, and watching college basketball.
Sharing her birthday with Abraham Lincoln, she is more than excited to be representing his home state and preparing for the national title of Miss USA 2006 to be aired LIVE on NBC April 21, 2006 in Baltimore, Maryland. Hopefully she will bring home the crown to the Land of Lincoln.
