On Feb 28th, Ashley & Stacie travelled to Northwestern University for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge. They raised money through sponsors for the Special Olympics of Illinois and then "plunged" into the chilly waters of Lake Michigan. |

Ashley & Stacie helped the
Best Buddies Illinois Junior Board
kick off 2009 with free skin care consultations, drinks, music, and exciting raffles, compliments of Kiehl's boutique on Chicago's Armitage Avenue. 10% of the day's proceeds went to benefit Best Buddies Illinois. |

On Feb. 13th, Ashley and Stacie spoke to students from Plum Grove Jr. High in Rolling Meadows, IL on Widen Our World Day. They visited with four groups of students to discuss thier journeys as Miss Illinois USA and Miss Teen Illinois USA. In each group, a student volunteer introduced themselves, picked a question that was written by their peers and answer it in front of the group. They also answered a great deal of questions about themselves and the pageant system and had a wonderful time! |

On Feb 6th, Ashley attended the
Bright Pink VIPink Breast Cancer Fundraiser at Crimson Lounge where she greeted guests and mingled with the attendees. Bright Pink is an organization that promotes breast health through education and support.
It was an honor for Ashley to be part of such a wonderful event that raised over $18,000 on this one night.

Ashley was honored at the Streamwood High School Winter Assembly on Jan. 30th and was given the Gold Key Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Ashley takes her first international trip, as both a Luvabull and Miss Illinois USA 2009, to Holland and France for the 2008 All Star Game from Dec. 21st - 31st. |
The 1st New Year's Day Luncheon on Jan. 1, 2009 was held at Gibsons Steakhouse in Chicago
for individuals involved in Catholic Charities: the elderly, women & children, and veterans. |
